Eurotrim-Hard shiney spots?

Hey guys,
I put brand new eurotrim on my car a few months back. And alls been great. However today I noticed that on the passenger side piece its started getting these hard shiney spots that are oddly shaped and a really hard. I can't clean or scrub these things off... Any ideas? Is my rub strips having some kind of strange chemical reaction?

can you feel a difference in the plastic (ie if you run your finger across it is it raised up)? what has the weather been like recently?

I can feel it a bit raised up. Weathers been cold, rainy and shitty.
