Did the radio antenna come on the back quarter panel, or was it elsewhere?

Would it be ghey if I added it to the top ala M3 style?

Mine was on the back left 1/4 panel but i deleted it off when we did the paint job last year

I like my E36 antenna with 3" stud. You should consider that.

Only M3s and Tourings came with the rooftop antenna. But I like it. Don't do a VW Fuba style on the back of the roof, that'd be weak. Do the front mounted M3/Touring one.

You'll need to drop your headliner to install it, though, which could be a little tricky. I think you need to remove a window to do that properly.

All the glass is coming out of the car when it is painted. So...that is when I will so it! :)

Yeah im ordering the M3 style antenna from Bav-Auto...only $60 but i almost want to put it in the back, i definatley dont have an M3 so i feel the front mounting would make me look like a tool, well im one step ahead of the game anyway i dont have any headliner so i can decide where i want it later.

Im just going to mount it in the back, i saw a kid on this forum with it on the back and it doesnt look bad at all. Some will say it looks like a VW, ill just say e46.
