    Removing water spots from glass

My girlfriend's Honda's driver and passenger windows have so much water spots (at least 2 years old) that it's hard to see out of sometimes. Someone suggested using nail polish remover to get it out, but that hasn't cut it. Anyone have any suggestions?

    HCl

    That will do the trick.

Don't get anything below 16M concentration.

I've heard of people using coca-cola.

        For the phosphoric acid.

You know, have you tried white vinegar? Acetic acid, though weak, might be enough to at least loosen the spots.

Go buy some habaneros, cut them in half, and rub the hell out of some water spots.

Super fine steel wool with a lot of soap for lubrication. Polishes up nicely; the sprinklers at the dealer I used to work at caused us lots of problems with this.

That's actually not a half bad idea. If the acid inside them is strong enough to give your mouth second-degree burns, I'm sure it'll loosen up the calcium spots.

Bon Ami window cleaner applied with a #0000 steel wool pad. Make sure it's #0000 and not #000. You can get the steel wool at most hardware stores cheap. The Bon Ami window cleaner is sold at $0.99 Stores in CA. You could substitute another window cleaner though.

Bar Keepers friend. Its glass countertop polish but it doesnt have chemicals or bleach in it so it wont fuck up your paint if it touched it.
