    Antenna Delete

So I want to ditch my antenna (it's broken and I don't listen to radio), but I'm not down with shaving it ($$$). Is there a little nub that any one makes to replace it. I'd like something a lot smaller than what Josh (Mr. Anderson) has.
    Any leads?

Too much $. I'd rather just force my broken one down and leave it at that.

Why not just put it down and keep it down?

That's what I have mine doing and it doesn't bother me at all.

You could just take it out and plug it. Thats what I did with my 300zx's rear window wiper. I don't remember what website I got it from but it was a free mod. The website only sold them in like 3500 or more but you could fill out a sheet and they would send you some samples. Just search local store might have them but I doubt it.

I bought a grommet at the local hardware store for 10 cents. Worked great!

Sorry, this is the best picture I have.

seems to me that the bumper for the hood to close on (by the headlights) can be unscrewed and then screwed into the antenna hole. it may not be completely water tight though, so seal the underside well. but looks clean and finished like super duper... or just get something from the hardware store

Rubber butt plug from the hardware sore something like 59 cents. Ive had mine in my car since the fall no leaks, and I don't listen to the radio, it's great.

If you go with a stubby antenna you need a z3/318ti reciever (for inside the trunk) the corresponding gromet, that will allow you to use about any of those aftermarket stubby antennas. Goodluck finding one of those recievers.

Has anybody tried connecting the antenna to the rear window defroster? It works great on other cars as a replacement antenna. Even better than the original in fact. Obviously you defroster wouldn't work anymore but how often do you use that?

Go to www.mcmaster.com and search for "Finishing Plugs". Look at the polyethylene ones.

when my stock antenna took a shit, i ran a brand new antenna wire back to a stubby antenna. but its bigger than what yer looking for, so i say go to your hardware store.
