    cabrio owners please help

How often are you guys changing your rear plastic window? I currently have a two year old top on my cabrio and the rear window has a bunch or hard yellow deposits that can not be removed... I have tried several different cleaners. Anyone have any suggestions? How much does a plastic window replacement cost installed?

    Thanks in advance

I was told that just having the plastic window replaced, if you have the one that isn't zip in, it was going to be around $150 for the window and labor. The only thing, that I was told, that is hard is getting the new stitches to line up with the hole from the old stitching. It better than a $900 new top though it if won't bother you.

my local upholstery shop wouldnt' even touch it. i wonder if they were bullshitting me but they suggested just getting a new top...

I thought the top itself was in good condition....

                    back clear window?

Want to clean your window up? Get the professional grade mequire package, call mirror glaze. BMW dealership use to carry this product, as the product to clean thier convertible rear windows. You need a good dual action orbital buffer to get the best result. I got my polish up nice and new, other than the one burn mark... thats not coming out. Get the detailing spray too. It'l work on plastic headlight and tail lights as well. Works very very well... but don't grind in one place for like 5 min if you cant get it to clean up. It eventually with cutting pad and the polish, you can actually burn through the plastic.

I did and it was a pain in the ass. Very hard to sew, it will leak, don't bother, just get a new top.

I thought the 90's had a zip in window?
