You can give it a 6mm drop by buying thiner spring pads from the dealer ($20 I hear)
I'm running the thinner pads on my car, its hardly noticible. Aftermarket spring hats are expensive and not worth it in my opinion if you are simply running M3 springs. BMP sells a set that lowers the car 10mm I believe.

MGOLD- Do you know the part number for the thinner spring pads? Or the model E30 they are meant to be on?

            M3 springs, no spring pads.

I outhandle E36s all the time w/the M3 suspension components. I've gotta pick up the swaybar mounts and links soon, and then maybe this summer dig up a rear subframe/5 lug hubs to finish the conversion.
