Someone talke me out of it...

Well, the time has come to refinish my wheels. A set of weaves, and a set of RZ's. I'm thinking about simply doing both sets the same so that I can have some fun and swap them around etc.

I'm thinking of three possible colors, pretty much bored of silver wheels. So it is gunmetal, diamond/hyper black (maybe plain old gloss black?) or gold. All with polished lips.

I wasn't sure about the gold, but the more I look at it the more I like it

The color I'm leaning most towards is the diamond black, like that on bbs rgr's. The only thing I don't like about black wheels is you can't really see the wheel unless you're up close.

I know its my car, yadda yadda, but I'm really just trying to make sure I'm not high on paint fumes and choose something that I'll regret later.

So lets choose, crappy car halfway apart ps ftw!

im gonna start refinishing my weaves this weekend. Im going with gold, but I think gold will look better on a red car then a gray one... plus I've already gone the gunmetal/black route.

What are you using to strip the paint? and how are you going to clean/prep the lip? I picked up some Airplane Remover from Walmart so we'll see how that works. And prolly just sand down the lip with some fine sand paper.

edit: I voted gold anyway :D

How about a dark bronze color with a polished lip?

Gunmetal or delphin would make it look a bit lower

I prefer silver, but if you're dead set against silver, then gunmetal is a good choice.

Bead blast, wet sand lip, cut/polishing compounds, degreasing polish and clear.

I still have alot of other stuff to do before the wheels, but I'll be sure to post it up when I do them.

                      Everyone likes pink huh? ;)
