    pulling stickers off paint?

Well, i have a few unwanted stickers on my car from the previous owner, and i was wondering how to get them off without ruining the paint and also with taking the sticker completely off.

A friend of mine suggested lighterfluid, but im want to be postive that won't affect the paint if Im gonna do that

    thanks for the help guys

googone works well, especially in conjunction with a hairdryer. Afterwards, make sure to wax the spot where the stickers were.

Although it takes quite a long time, a finger nail is perfect for this job.

However, I would suggest trying to find a pinstripe removal pad, it just might work.

I found mine at a Paint and Spray Supply shop here in town - here's what the package said:

it was called a "Smart Eraser Pad"

Made/manufactered by: "Astro Pneumatic Tool Company"

I think they also make buffers and stuff too. Might wanna try that out. otherwise, a fingernail and lots of time (as well as googone or something similar) will be your best bet.

        thanks alot for the help.

i think ill give the googone a try before i sit there for hours picking away at this sticker, as that would be insanely frustrating. but if push comes to shove, ill just get frustrated.

I found a can of "sticker adhesive remover". Doesn't hurt paint at all.

Use it, let it sit, get as much off as you can. Use fingernail/plastic card/other stuff like that to get the rest off.

I use polish compound to get the sticker marks out. You can find the can of sticker remover at Advance auto parts....

If its on the window, a solid paint scraper made of metal works fine, doesn't scratch the window...

WD-40... the kind in the big square metal can, not the spray type. Peel as much of the sticker off as you can, then soak the rest in WD-40, and use a hair dryer/fingernail or plastic card to remove the rest. Then, maybe a little bit of cleaner wax to take care of any scratches/wax removal.
