    2 bottles of cut/polish on an E30?

Jesus christ. Those must be some small ass bottles.

I didn't do my seats and dash for a while so I did it with Magueres Vinyl and Plastic cleaner. I let it sink in for about 10 hours. seats turned out great, but dash not so great.
I've always used armor-alll on the dash, and Vinylex (Lexol's stuff) on seats.
I've become a very big fan of the Armorl-All wipes. It's so much easier to use them than the spray bottle and rag. And the wipes are able to get into every little nook and cranny in your car. I highly recommend them.

To get in all the nooks and crannys I use a clean paint brush. It is sweet what applying to vinyl seats to get in all those deep little holes. I have used vinylex before on both seats and dash and it works far better than magiueres.

careful with those Armour All wipes...that stuff is bad news
for vinyl...petroleum content will dry out your vinyl surfaces
          and cause them to crack...

regarding exterior products...i have tried them ALL on my
e34 show car and the best stuff i have come across is not
expensive mail order stuff like Griots...i've had the absolute
best results hands down with the Perfect-It products from
3M...used to only be able to get them at Paint and Body supply
stores, but now you can purchase some of the line at Pep Boys...
i've used quite a bit of the Hand Glaze in the past to remove
scratches and swirls, but most recently i have started using
the Fine Cut Rubbing Compound and Swirl Remover for dark cars
with a foam padded random orbital buffer and the results are
          awesome!

i had purchased some of the Griots Machine Polishes and spent
about 2 hours trying to get my hood looking right...i switched to
the 3M products and the hood was completed in about 15 minutes...

Zaino products are pretty cool as well...the finished result is probably
comparable to other products out there, but Zaino doesn't discolor
plastic and vinyl if you get it on those surfaces by mistakes and it
doesn't dust at all when you buff...that saves a bunch of hassle--
          especially on a black car...

good luck...and let's keep 'em clean and detailed!

I used all but about 1/10 of a bottle on my MG. I figure it will take a little over a bottle to do an e30 if you are going to go over the whole car THROUGHLY.

On another note, when I did my MG, I did some parts twice just to get a little more shine since the paint was old and bad. If the paint is good though, 1 bottle should be fine.
