IF anything I am going to have somebody else paint it. WIll it take out the small indents and scratches though?

You should be more specific as to what "it" is and what the dents and scratches are.

Scartches and dents from the parking lot, like carts hitting and doors banging. Few rock dents and such. For some reason the hood has a lot of srcatches on it but I know if that got painted it would fix things there.Comment

dont jump to the conclusion that your car needs new paint. try to wash it thouroughly, wax it, then if it still doesnt meet your needs, then consider paint. However, small blemishes can be taken out with certain compounds. Scratches as well can be taken out.Comment

Well scratches will all be sanded out during prep work. As far as dents go.. if you want those pulled and smoothed out then you have to tell them.. and pay for it. A paintjob does not nessicarily include dent repair ;)Tenured Automotive Service Professional - Avid BMW Enthusiast
