Euro Bumps & Late Valence (aka BAD idea... NOT good)

heh... i was thinkin last night, talkin to a couple guys from the boards on AIM & the idea of euro bumps & a late model valence came up... well? why haven't i seen this before?

i'm gonna do a cost analysis on that combo vs. euro bumps / euro valence & see if i wanna spring for the euro bumps w/ late valence & iS lip

... now if i see ANYone w/ euro bumps & late valence / iS lip on a pre '88 next week... there'll be HELL to pay  ;) ... but if someone can dig up a pre-existing pic of it, i'd be thankful 8)

I dunno. The euro bumpers aren't as 'tall' as plastic bumpers, so you'd have to do something to fill in the gap.

yeah, lets talk HUGE gaps in front. The euro bumper is tiny and wouldnt fill the plastic bumpers spot.

      it would look horrible.

Ya I stuck my euro bumpers when I had them on the front of my 88 325is and it looked ok from the front but on each side there was a 1" gap that was very notacable. I loved the look from the front but also the Euro plate hangs down low and was sitting flush with the front valance.

          .......... i shoulda known

oh well.. MAYBE if i get a set of euro bumps at the same time chapel is swapping his '88 to plastics i'll mount em up on his car & see if there's an easy way to modify the valence to sit a little higher & not look retarded

Jordan, you got that pic of when you converted the front valance on your car, with no bumpers?

Pete, look at that pic and imagine the bumper going just low enough to cover the shock mount, I mean barely.

... so who likes the new thread title? ;)

oh well... it was worth a shot... i suppose if i had some way to cut & weld the bottom 1/2 of the valence so the gap for the bumper is a little shorter it would work, but i don't have the means to do so

too bad, so sad, someone else will have to be the first to have that combo... bummer

No they are not. The real name for plastic bumpers is International bumpers, because all countries got them :)
