WRC rally cars, what kind of tint is that....

I keep watching the WRC rally events on speed and whenever they run in hot climates, they got some type of chrome tint, that you can see perfectly out of when they show in car camera views. Any body know if this stuff is street legal?

most definately illegal in most states AFAIK...............I would think something on race cars would tend to be less than legal on street cars

Well, it's like mirrored 100% tint... it's a clear mirrored film. Kinda like the stuff they put on one-way mirrors in interrogation rooms and such.

It gets rid of the glare.

"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

Its just a heavy mirrored tint just like 5% tint here. THe problem is they measure ligh transmission outside in so its still very illegal. My tint is similar (or was) where it was very easy to see out but dark seeing in. The guy had the mirror tint for a show car and it looked a little goldish when looking out but completely reflective looking in. I never asked him the brand, he just told me it was very expensive.
              Im now E30less.

Home depot has a MEAN mirror tint, for your house.

It's still illegal though, my friend got $700 in tint tickets alone... he took it off :P

The rear windows on the RX300 have some sort of weird mirror-like tint on them, but you can still see in.
