    Convertible/coupe door compatibility

How difficult is it to adapt a coupe door to work on a convertible?

Other than the obvious cutting of the window trim, how difficult is it?

    Anybody have any pictures??

No workie. The Verts have larger/higher rockers, and I suspect that even the outer skin is different.

Not only that, the whole window is different. Convertibles do not have a frame that go all around the car since we lack the B pillar.

        Ok then..

What about replacing the window/motor/regulator from a coupe and removing the triangle window and frame somehow...

I know that anything could be done... but is it difficult to do?

I think you would be better off forgetting the re-invention of the wheel and just attempting to get the proper cabrio door. Unless you want the bragging rights of doing all that BS?

Doesnt that little window help support the windscreen when you roll over and have the windscreen cave in on you??

You could get the door from an '89 Camaro to work if you try hard enough.

I have bolted a vert door on a coupe and the lines match. If you don`t mind the frame removal and lack of small triangle windows then go for it.
