    Bumper Tuck Question

So today I tucked the diving boards in on the e30. But unfortunately the bumper trim is slightly disformed and now that I have tucked the bumpers it is much more noticeable in my mind. How can I go about reviving the trim to sit more flush against the bumper?

You pretty much can't. You can either spend big $$$ on new pieces, or try and find good used ones.

I do believe some people have used double stick tape to tape the bumper shroud down to the bumper. But you could have to clean the bumper and shroud really well and use lots of tape.

Just fire up a big fucking joint and all will be well.

relax, it's just an E30...not even a plastic bumpered one.

Mine is fucked up too, so my life is hell.

      See how this works?

Let us know what you find. I am on the verge of attacking my car with JB weld.

Before i put euros on my first e30 i did the bumper tuck. And i used rivets to hold down the wavy trim. But i was not to concerned about the rivets showing cause i knew i was going to ditch the bumpers soon anyway. I just put a little black paint on the rivet tops and it looked fine for me cause the trim was flat again.

You could also try to source the trim from a Cabrio, that's the route I'm going/went (bought it, just waiting for it to arrive). It doesn't seem to have the problems getting wavy that other E30s do.

What did you use to clean/prep your mounting surface?
