    M3 conversion?

I've heard there are some vendors that have conversion body kits to make a standard E30 look like an M3. Anyone know if such a thing exists?

Any ever priced buying new steel fenders and quarter skins from BMW?

And yes I have searched the internet for a few days before asking. :p

In fact, that's how I found this place.

You'd be better off buying an m3 for how much it's gonna cost you

        Priced any E30 M3s lately???

That is actually my plan, to buy an M3. I am in the midst of formulating a back-up plan, that being "building" my own M3.

I would prefer the real thing, bit if it doesn't happen I'd like to be ready. So, anyone?

Even if you do it yourself, you need the front fenders, and pretty much the rear half of the m3, it's gonna be bare minimum $3k, assuming you do the work yourself, it won't be too bad, $3k for a decent car, plus $500-$1k for paint. If you have someone do it for you, You'll have spent probably at least $10k with the car, and it will still be worth $3k, and still have an m20. It makes no sense.

From what I have seen, none of the kits are gonna be cheaper than just a trashed m3, and the fiberglass replicas are trash

Oh, neither car will have a stock engine when I'm done... :p

And I'm not too concerned with what it;s worth after I'm done. I sold my first E30 M3, I won't make that mistake again.

I agree, I'm just having trouble finding that magical trashed M3...

I wouldn't do this. Even if you find the body parts to make it LOOk like the e30m3, you'll still need many more parts (brakes, suspension) etc. So after all said and done, you'll be pulling your hair out thinking WTF did I do this when I could have just waited and bought the right car to begin with.

                my 2 cents.

i would rather spend the cash on a mtech kit or euro bumper

but its all been said before.

Just wait and save up for a real one. Thats the logical solution. But I cant discourage you, so GL.

i can't remember where, but there was actually an ok kit from the uk that makes the car flow well with the right rims. but i remember it being at least $2K without shipping or paint...so ur looking at 5Gs easy. that's an s50 in your car, or some baller ass wheels with fresh paint, or a tech 2 kit with paint...so many better options.
