Help! Cracked glass lens on my Euro Smiley's

A rock just spider cracked the glass lens on my Bosch Smiley's, can I use a US ellipsoid lens to replace it or are they different? Do I have to take out the entire assembly to replace the glass? Thanks.

Not sure about the lens. You will have to remove the whole assembly as you will have to heat it in an oven to soften the glue that holds the lens in place. The lens isn't just screwed on or something.

No, the euros have that little cutout for the euro lights. Its that little oval on top. Other than that I don't think its different. Some US lights I've seen also has these three glass dots on them. It sucks to change out just the lens. I just did one of mine and it took months to find someone who had a lens.

Yea you can get the BMWlights.com ones they are plastic though but they look just like the euro lenses, they come in pairs so you can change both to match.
