Bumper swap underway

International bumpers are only 3 mph bumpers. The diving boards are 5 mph. But BS87 is right, neither set will do much at 10-15 mph let alone 40 or 50. I know what you mean about doing mods having a difficult parent. Before i got my e30 I wasnt allowed to do anything to whatever i drove. The e30 is mine though, and if i want to do a mod i do it, dont care what my dad thinks. But my first mod was lowering.

i agree with all you guys about how the either bumpers wont really help much in a bad accident at all. My dad just sees metal and plastic, and any person would really say that a metal one is stronger, thats obvious. So thats how he sees it.

Now: Ive been removing my rear bumper and i cant find the 3rd bolt on the driverside or the 3rd bolt on the passenger side.(I already got the one in the trunk out)

lookin good, and i know what a pain in the ass it can be trying to conveince parents to allow you to do things to your car.

o and btw, my diving board broke in half and ended 25 feet from the car... and i never found the 2nd half.

well i got the found the 3rd bolt and i got the bumpers off. My dad came home and called the painter....After looking at all the stuff i realized that i hit my deadline 2 days early and all my parts were ready for paint so he is bringing them over right now....
btw, my mirrors are getting repainted, and my door handles are being painted now.

While the bumpers are off and i cant drive the car ill be doing shadowline. Next update will be when the car is back together.

Looks great, if you ask me bumpers make more of a difference to the overall look of the car to me then lowering. But when you get it lowered your car will be hot. I love calypso.

I agree that bumpers have a BIG effect on the looks of our cars, but to say more than lowering is going a little far IMO :P

And thats coming from someone with metal bumpers that hates them very much.

heh i sure dont i have almost been in an accidenttwo times none of which were caused by me.

Old lady pulling out of a safeway parking lot and shoots into my lane didnt see her because a car was blocking my vision so i didnt see her nor did she see me probably and i almost t-boned the drivers door pretty damn shocked i didnt.

Driving through a neighborhood the young girl sees me but soon as i get infront of her she proceeds almost nailing my passanger door.
