Seriously... Wheel refinishing prices

Here local, I cannot find anyone to redo just the lips on a set of wheels, let alone, an entire set for under 500. For an entire wheel to be redone, strip and paint, I cant find anyone to do it for less than 200 per wheel local. Just to reco the lips on my SSRs, another place tells me that it will be between 100-200 per wheel.

What gives?! I see people getting 1 peice wheels redone for 350-500 for a whole set, the whole wheel. Am I missing something here?

Powdercoat? I was quoted 80 per wheel.

Are you getting quotes for prep and paint? It's quite a bit cheaper if you prep them yourself.

There is a special process to powder coating aluminum wheels. Otherwise you weaken them...

Have you called "wheel werks"? I believe that is the correct spelling. They are local to you.

I had my wheels sand blasted and powder coated for about $230 for all 4. The lips I'm not sure about.
