Best paint that looks like aluminium? Valve/intake paint?

1.) Is there a paint that matches aluminum color very well?(such as transimittion or oil pan)

2.) Paint that matches Valve cover / intake?

Nope. Not yet anyway, gonna order some to do my valve cover and intake manifold as soon as i get them all cleaned up. I'm gonna paint them with that and then paint the stripes and letters black, unless I change my mind on the color scheme.

Yea, I was looking for something that does not look *too* silvery - like high temp silver paint it just too much...

Is there an actual paint code for the paint the factory used on the intake/valve cover? Can that be ordered?

considering it's just natural aluminun with cosmoline over it to protect it i'm doubtful there is a paint code

just do the valve cover/intake plenum in black high heat paint like everyone else...sure its what EVERYONE does but it does make clean things up and updates the look of your engine bay

I used manifold/header paint by VHT. Its an alloy finish, slightly darker than aluminum. I used it on both the intake manifold and valve cover. It shows off the polished lettering/emblems well once they're sanded free of paint. Here's a shot of them

Don't remember where I got it, but if you search for VHT paints, I'm sure you'll find a vendor.

But black has such a nice contrast.

To do this, do you just paint it all black then sand it off the lettering etc.?
