I have a bunch of pics and info for the front panel and lower valance in a post on my build thread here. MANY thanks to those who have figured this out before - scabzzzz, fporro, jasonc, kronus...

Just wish you had ket better track of the part numbers :-) It is SOOOO easy to order the wrong part on a DB to euro-bumper conversion.

hey jean, i was at pick n pull monday, and just for shits and giggles i looked up the prod date on the car you got the bumpers off. it was made in 11/83, if that helps with ordering parts at all.

Got it :) So what happens with brake ducts when you use a lower lip w/o any holes for them, no longer function?

Yep, I noticed that too. Still looking for a good picture of m-tech vs non-mtech euro bumper trim to see what the difference is all about.

They are the same if you are just ordering the lense. I think the e28 M5 uses the same lense along with other models. But you can get clear ones or yellow ones. There is a right side lense and a left side lense.

Before I order new euro fogs (there is more than one part number for those as well), are they universal for ANY euro valance or do I have to match them up as well?

This is turning out to be more complicated than I thought....

ainadude - thanks! this is exactly why I asked, trying to understand the difference between the bumper trim pieces, would be nice to find a good side by side picture :).

    SoCal323i - thanks! Brake ducts aren't used with the bigger lower lip (51 71 1 943 868 ) ?
