    Rear IS spoiler questions...

Mine basically looks very nasty. It's been exposed to too much sun, and the top is all cracked and faded to a nice gray. However, the bottom and the sides look fine and match the paint. Is there anyway just painting it can fix the cracking, or am I going to have to buy a new one?

Anyone have some other suggestions to getting this back to a nice diamond black?

take it off, use a filler putty, sand, make it smooth with the putty, primer, paint, re-attach, it'll take a few hours, but if you truely care, do it.

It's a tough call because the spoiler is rubber, thus any solvent strong enough to dissolve the paint will also dissolve the spoiler. You'd pretty much just have to smooth it before you can paint it; any surface irregularities will show up when you paint. I'd try some light sanding... it'll take a while but it's probably the only way to prep it for paint.

Where can I get the supplies I'll need to do the task, and how much will they run? (Diamond Black is my car's color) I'm willing to paint parts like that, because I seriously care too much about that car. :D

The E30 gets a lot of my money and time, but I like what I get in return. ;)
