    Deleting decklid model logo?

I'm going to be getting rid of the pinstripes, but who thinks it would be nice to get rid of the 318is aswell? I like how it makes the back end look cleaner, but I'm not sure if I really want to do it.

Anyone have any reasons on why I shouldn't do it?

It's up to you... I'd leave it on it, seeing as your car is pretty much a stock 318is. I like mine debadged, but it's all up to the owner.

I did it. Run the "iS" for a while too, see if you like that. Same procedure for the pinstripe, just remove the actual badge with dental floss, like Ken said above...

MHW smoked tails, removed badge, no pinstripe. 8) DO IT!

M42Tecknik: You car has convinced me to save up and get smoked rears and smoked ellips. That looks freaking hot on Diamantschwartz.
              Where'd you get yours?

///M Powered: That's my only reason to keep it. 318is is a rarish E30, but i can always put it back on, right?

If you put it back on, please take the time to make sure it's straight. I've seen way too many cars with crooked badges these days.

Just a little OCD thing I have. :)

I got my smoked ellipsoids from Mike (e304lyfe) a while back when he had 3 sets. My smoked taillights came from Stu Mc's car, which I am very proud to have.

Smoked tails are expensive as are the smoked ellipsoids. Make sure you do some shopping around for the best price. You should really start with your suspension before you do appearance mods though. I know I should have...

Stock suspension  And the names Dan by the way.

Dan, your car looks awesome, even with the stock suspension. Do you have more pics of it?

Thats my old thread of Maryland's First E30 Meet. Search for that joint and EtaSport's thread on that same topic...

Thanks for all the kind words. Took a lot to get it where it is now. Coming soon....FK 60/40 springs and Bilstein Sport shocks, along with new GC RSM's, and E30 M3 offset bushings.

I'd say take it off, personally I don't like badges, and it has nothing to do with being ashamed in driving a 318ic. I took them off of my 89 325ix, and my 97 Z3. I'll be taking them off of my next car too.

I seriously hope a cut and polish will get my paint as nice as your's.

Right now I'm trying to get this thing back to the stock look, meaning painting the IS rear spolier, and getting/painting the front IS lip. Also, getting a cut and polish. I'm thinking I should remove what I want to now, so when cut and polish time comes, it makes the paint look more even, I'm sure you're going to see some faded pinstripes in my faded panels until then. :)

But your car showed me the power of diamantschwartz. Smoked lights, that is def what I want to get. That looks too bad ass on that car, but I think you're right, suspension first.

I've got enough for springs, saving for shocks, it'll happen soon. :D

Just thought about this, considering the iffy condition of the paint. Will their be some faded pinstripes and 318is in the rear of the car?

I am definently getting a cut-and-polish soon, so will that help it?

Thanks for the kind words about my diamantshwarz. Yea, you can still notice that on my car, my paint is very faded as well. Just good lighting in that picture.

EDIT: One more has seen the force and power of the diamantshwarz. It is the great color of E30-dom.
