i suggest triming the lip just enough to fit, then mounting it, then trimming to fit. you wouldn't want to go cutting to much off!

There are already a shit ton of holes in the bottom of the valence.
Exactly what I did. Except I should have used black zip ties

I used black zipties put through holes drilled in the lip. I marked the lip with the existing holes in the valance. No clips, they held it in the wrong position. I also trimmed off about 3/16 from the inner edge of the lip so that the lip fits flush to the valance. Looks way better that way.

I used zip ties as I didn't want a hard hit/scrape to mash the valance. Hopefully the zipties will give way first.

Took some time but was fairly easy.

Think ahead and use black ones people!

Good call. how did you go about trimming of the mounting edge? i used a razor to cut the ends, nice and clean.

I think what deutshman is getting at is cut off some of the end so that you can mount it, then cut it again once mounted so its even.

I like the no clip idea. that way you have wholes to moc up the lip with and the lip can be secured to the valance without actually cutting up the lip.

                            Can't argue with those results.

On a side note, What are peoples opinions on flat black diving boards? i can pull it off it wont look shitty, but regardless they would be flat black. the front has been swapped to '88 shocks so its tucked in about an inch.. I think it would look good [Aslo i have smoked turns on], but want opinons.

Also i have the late model valance [otherwise this volvo lip would be useless]
