    I used zip ties, which work well, but I'm sure bolts will work better.

    yesssss! i picked up a volvo lip in 7/10 condition today!!!!! 20 bucks! just a few scuffs but the shape is still perfect. im gonna try to sand it a little with some 100 grit to get a smooth look out of it.then i will likely BOLT it to the valence, im not a huge believer in zip ties, but it worked for some of you we'll see. pics when im done.

I'm guessing when yours got pulled off, it probably didn't break the clips (saying it was a huge pain to get mine out) but pulled it out of them, theoretically, if your lip were better seated in the clips (or the clips deep enough to let it be seated more) that wouldn't have happened.

    My lip was thoroughly seated in it's clips but at the speed I was traveling there was enough downforce to overcome the clips and zip ties holding everything on.

    Yep, you can always beat the valence with a big hammer, the lip however, not so much. I'm guessing when yours got pulled off, it probably didn't break the clips (saying it was a huge pain to get mine out) but pulled it out of them, theoretically, if your lip were better seated in the clips (or the clips deep enough to let it be seated more) that wouldn't have happened.

    That's why I would never trust the POS clips on a 150$ lip, bolt it to the valence.

    Damit! I gotta go to the yard now and I'm laid up from knee surgery! I was going to have to fabricate something myself like out of a laundry basket or somthing. Volvo lip is way better. That leaves me time to figure out how to adapt a honda cam gear to my BMW.
