Jordan managed to fit the rear APRON of an E36 M3 onto his E30 rear bumper.

I've also seen E36 bumpers fitted to an E21:

Anything is possible, as long as you have the money.

you may have better luck going with the AV3 rear bumper, which is supposed to look very similar to the e36 m3's.

LOL, yeah i think it looks pretty damn good. I'm one of those suckers for red cars and i love conversions that are done right to make classic cars more modern. Don't get me wrong i like the classics more, but it's amazing that i think the e21 could pull off that look. Also i'm raised in San Francisco, CA. I'm influenced by the ricers over here. LOL :D

What the fuck else do you want us to tell you?

                  - Yes, you can make them fit.
                  - It's going to take more custom work and fabrication than I think you are ready for.
                  - It's going to cost more money than the car is worth.
                  - There are a multitude of much easier, much cheaper body kits out there.

You could make it fit with money!, if you don't got money it won't fit. I know this isn't much of an answer, but it's the truth. It's not a direct bolt on, so alot of custom work needs to be done. AND NO this isn't done often at all, i only know of 2 cars with something similar to what you have mentioned.
