    euro bumper trim?

where's the best place to get new euro bumper trim? i just bought a set and the trim is destroyed. The bumpers aren't in great condition either, but hopefully i can hammer out the dents and waves. I got em for pretty cheap...so. yeah.

    best place for trim?

how do you fix waves on a bumper? it doesn't seem like there was impact, but the bumpers are wavy along the bottom.

What? No way. All it does is deletes the lights on the moulding that come on with the parking lights. Unless you can get them for a significantly cheaper rate (e.g. Blunt,) just get them at the dealer.

technically i think it is illegal to run them, but i don't think i've ever heard of anyone having problems with having them.

you can get them from the dealer or pretty much any parts supplier. i got mine from bma, but abrahams motorsport and other places have them. prices will probably be cheaper at places other than the dealer, but it wil probably be close everywhere.

Seriously? I didn't realize that they were illegal. I guess DOT requires there to be some form of a side marker, and euro trim does away with all of that.

You can always add the side markers on the fender like E36s. I put some on my E34, its integrated into the side moulding instead of just stuck on the fender or door. Don't think they would look good so just tell the cops BMW didn't add them until '91 and if you have a '91 or '92 just add another year.

DOT mandated bebore the e30 existed. You can see the model year enforcement on older porsche 944s (or was iy 924)? The look like a last minute addition. DOT requires an amber reflecter on the front fender forward of the fender well and a red reflecter aft of the rear fender well on all cars produced after 1970 something. I got bored one day and read a couple hundred vehicle codes. For example the specific height and location allowances for a front license plate. On the dashboard taped to the windshield is illegal.

i thought so as well, but if you look at some of the newer cars and trucks, there are no side markers... only head and tail lights.. my truck doesnt have side markers, and now either will my e30. if a cop is seriously going to pull someone over, go to court with a strong mind of proving you were profiled. a cop pulled you over expecting you to be some young punk with a riced out racecar and found nothing, therfor he tried and tried and tried to get something. by then you should have your US trim to slap back on and take pictures of.

if you notice on those the headlights, and taillights wrap around the side effectively making side markers

Close..... Side markers were required in the US beginning in 1968.
