I have a regular '92 cabrio with a real Mtech 2 kit retrofitted to it by the PO. My question is; what's under the Mtech stuff? The regular plastic bumpers, nada, what would I find if I took off the Mtech stuff?

The Mtech2 equipment bolts to the stock rocker panels and stock equipment. So if you saw a late model E30 that wasn't Mtech2, imagine that the panels of the mtech2 equipment just bolts on to different holes/compartments etc.
The plastic bumper covers need to be removed to add the mtech2. The actual bumper itself is still there. The mtech2 valence is an addition to the stock valence so if you removed the mt2 valence you would underneath a regular E30's late style valence.
