    Opinions?

I have a 1991 Brilliantrot 318is and I'm looking to make a few cosmetic upgrades. I just want to hear what people think of my ideas.
    -is lip
    -clear side indicators (front/back)
    -Clear turn signals
    -Black out kidney grille
-Possibly vinyl carbon fiber hood roundels
-Repaint the stock spoke rims to a dark grey color, which looks fantastic on the red
    -Repaint front and rear bumpers

How do those upgrades sound to you guys? Do they all fit with each other?

    -is lip //good
-clear side indicators (front/back)// (just delete them and get euro trim)
    -Clear turn signals//get smoked
    -Black out kidney grille//NO..keep crome
-Possibly vinyl carbon fiber hood roundels//whatever floats your boat
-Repaint the stock spoke rims to a dark grey color, which looks fantastic on the red//Sounds good
-Repaint front and rear bumpers// if they need repainted, might as well

    Thers my 2 cents

+1 for chrome kidney. I think you will find that no one quite agrees on which kidney looks better, but I am definitely a fan of the chrome.

I would say that 85% of this board likes the chrome kidneys

-is lip [Front: Yes, definitely. They look great on late model valences. Rear: No way, I love nekkid trunk lids.]
-clear side indicators (front/back) [Nah, not even euro cars had them, thus it is BavAuto poseur-ish in my opinion.]
-Clear turn signals [Same as above comment]
-Black out kidney grille [No way, because it doesn't look that great to begin with and when it gets all chipped up it will look really trashy.]
-Possibly vinyl carbon fiber hood roundels [Nah, stick with the factory roundels or just replace them with new $20 ones. It looks too BavAuto in my opinion. All the E46 kids rick them.]
-Repaint the stock spoke rims to a dark grey color, which looks fantastic on the red [No, I dig the look of stock, normal, silver basketweaves. Kids these days are always spraybombing them for that "yeah, this is my track rat" daily driver look. It's not for me, personally.]
-Repaint front and rear bumpers [Yes, as long as it matches the rest of the car. It would look even worse than it likely does now if they are much lighter than the rest of the car.]

Just do whatever makes you happy. There are plenty of people on this board who have abided by the modifications you mentioned above who will love the look of your car after all of that is done. But I prefer the stock look personally, it looks clean and simple, not poseurish.

I think blacked out kidneys look good on certain colors. For example, I think they look pretty decent on schwarz and alpine cars, but on any of the rot colors i think it looks awful.

Hmm, seems as if most people don't like the blacked out kidney grills. Maybe I will keep them chrome =]

As for the wheels, I really want them more of a gunmetal color.
