drilled the rear shocks today both spewing oil crap or whatever it is, but after slamming it into a brick wall 3 times, the bumper did not move. granted it is like 15 degrees in RI right now, do i just let it drain and wait for warmer weather or are my shocks f'd?

well, yeah i guess. i followed all the directions that jordan had posted, and i carefully backed up to the wall evenly, and nervously hit it. When nothing happened, i gave myself two feet and gave it a little more gas... and nothing happened. My buddy marc who was ready to throw in the towel then witnessed me going forward about 15 feet and flooring into the wall.... and nothing happened. except for the cinderblock reinforced garage actually moved. it was like a big wave. after that, we stopped for fear of the wall collapsing on the car.
it's really a testament to bmw's craftsmanship. as ugly as those sons of bitches are, they weren't gonna move for no one.sigpic

ugh tucking db's are one of the oldest mods on these cars its amazing people with nissans dont know about this. anyways, drill two holes in each shock. there are two parts of the shock, drill one hole closer to where it mounts to the bumper, and one hole closer to where it mounts to the frame. then either kick it in, or drive it into a wall. i took the bumper off to do mine...
