    Euro ellips aiming

I read the nice and useful article that Jordan gave me, but I cannot get the Hella Euro ellips to aim high enough up. They do not cast very far. I have the height adjuster all the way and I even put a little wedge behind the lower outboard mounting point to tilt it even more.

I cannot see very far out in front of myself unless I gun the gas!! can only do that so long you know.

    any ideas?

          they are used Hellas.

I am thinking i may have to raise the front of the car to get them up. can you put pads in the front struts like you can for the rear springs?

            Something is wrong with:

            a. your brain
            b. your headlights
            c. your car

            figure out which.

Maybe the mounting points in the front of the car are bent? Try "adjusting" them with a pair of Channellocks or something, maybe that'll git 'r done.

I was just told that I have an automatic adjuster setup, that I will need to swap it for the maual one.

This sounds true, it looks like something should plug into the larger knob on the low beam.

 Answer to "a" is somw times I could not tell you tha ti may be messed up

You need to get aiming screws from the dealer. They're like $7 each. Some of the euro ellips that came over on the pallet were from cars with auto adjusters.

The dealer should have that information. Just tell them that you are looking for manual adjustment screws for a E30 3 series with ellips.
