    Spraypaint on my bimmer

Somebody tried to 'touch up' my car and now I have black spraypaint on my black body 91 325i coupe, the body looks like shit now. Anyone have any recommendations on what to use to get the stuff out so I can get down to the glossy paint again?

you could try using a clay bar, most qualtiy part stores will have them. if not, try wet sanding.

haha. how does "somebody" just try to touch up the paint. was it before you bought it or actually one of those "my friend" stories. either way i wish i knew what to tell ya. best of luck in gettin in off. (my friend had somebody spray his car as a prank, he got a good bit of it off but then got it repainted instead cus it needed it anyhow) i'll ask him what he used.

Well actually, my brother did it when he was supposed to buy it, he never did :(. He spraypainted the stock wheels black, (looks really good), the front grille, and then also the metal trim. But then he decided to 'touch up' the car so he spraypainted water spots and some unusual rusty water spots black...could have used a good detail to it instead. I tried Meguire's paint cleaner, no luck...Maybe clay bar will help then but my other friend is suggesting paint thinner....I don't want to fuck up the true paint of the car though.

Lacquer Thinner will take it off easily. DO NOT leave it on the paint though. Put some thinner on a rag and rub the paint, then spray it off, go ahead and put a light coat of wax over it and your done

Goof Off 2 will probably work as well

Yea. my friend used laquer thinner. he sprayed it off continuously as to not damage the paint underneath. and scrub lightly doing it in layers. if you try to scrub it all off at once you risk going too deep. good luck and be careful
