My driver's window goes up like new, but slips and slides and shakes down as if the car were 20 years old or something. Is this a common issue with a known fix?

Quick suggestion, It may be out of the glass track? or maybe the little velvet crap, that wraps the rubber which holds the window straight is worned out.
