seat stuck in "gangsta lean"

hi all,

i just got an e30 and one of the two problems with it is that the drivers side seat is stuck in the "gangsta lean" position, and is missing a seat back. (it appears that the guy tried to fix it, but was unable to and lost the parts over time)

any idea how i can repair this? i would like to keep the seat if possible because all of the interior is absolutely mint.
