i think for most (myself included), replacement pedals are desirable because they look better than the black rubber pedal cover.
Least y'all have the black rubber pedal cover...

I don't, and I haven't had time to go buy em at the stealer.. so everytime it rains.. slippery feet..

the pedals are gonna slip regardless. i got mine because i would always leave work with wet feet (have to run the hose a lot), and the pedals felt like ice blocks. they slip slightly less, but not enough to warrant buying them for "slip resistance". they are indeed str8 blang.
I retired my E30 for now...

          skateboard grip tape!
I was thinking about putting something like that on my metal pedals, and making a pedal set that has a bigger gas pedal, but I already have a problem with hitting the brake and gas at the same time when rapidly switching feet...

The factory rubber pedal covers? Oh come on, they've gotta be better than bare metal.. i'm sick of having my foot slide off the pedal shifting into second when wet :(

I will be picking them up this weekend from the guy for $30. I'll post installed and close up pics when I get them.
