Interior idea for 325? (dyeing upholstery)

So I'm getting ready to buy a 91 euro 325i. Here's a pic of the interior (not so good pic).

In case you can't tell, the carpet and door panels are a light blue (I think). I'm thinking about dyeing the carpet black and the panels gray. I'm also thinking about haveing the seats re-done with gray down the middle and the side bolsters in black; and somehow match the theme on the rear seat. Tell me, does this sound like a good idea? Oh, the car is diamant-schwartz by the way.

Depends what you are trying do with the car, but as far as 2 tones go it will be subtle enough to work and not be too loud.
    Sorry forgot the pic.

Thanks for that pic. That's what I was thinking about; except in cloth, not leather.

BTW, got any pics of the rear seats?

"doo doo".. LOL... yeah, I'm going to clean out the car as best I can when I get it. I've been riding in a blue interior in my daily driver for a few years, I'm getting tired of it. I like the way black carpet looks. My e46 has an all black interior; except it's a topaz blue car. All black on the e30 would be too much. That's why I thought about gray inserts.

I should be getting the car the end of this month, we'll see...:D

There is nothing wrong with that interior. And the panels and carpet are gray, not blue.

Your interior looks awesome, only thing i would do is clean the carpet and get some mats. Black carpet would be nice too.

i have the SAME interior. its grey, not light blue. i would just clean the hell out of it, and do something with the carpet and headliner.

if it isnt exactly messed up, why fix it? every consider trading with someone?

I haven't bought the car yet, and I've only had one test drive in it. That's why I thought the interior was light blue. I will be cleaning the hell out of it when I get it; gonna strip the interior out to get the paint re-sprayed. Carpet, headliner and rear shelf will be black. Side panels will stay gray. Seats will be re-done in black-grey to match (seats have tears in them). But body work and paint is getting done first.:)
