          I sent it to josh forever ago. I don't have it with me to re-host.

          Pretty simple, really. There's 4 wires: 1 is power, one is ground, one is up, one is down.

          The brown one is ground, and the one containing red (i think it's red/grey) is power.

          easy enough to figure out which is up and which is down.

            Are the E36 switches a great improvement over the E30 switches?

              Not if you like jamming your finger to open your window.

                    Anyways. they're simple to install.
                    --------------------------------------------------------------
                    This info applies to modifying e30 LIGHTED switches
                    over to e36 LIGHTED switches with the WHITE base.

                    e36 BLACK ----> e30 #1 BLACK
                    e36 PURPLE ----> e30 #8 PURPLE
                    e36 Red/BRN ----> e30 #3 Green/Blue
                    e36 BROWN ----> e30 #5 BROWN

                    The 5th Brown wire on the e30 side is just an extra
                    ground. It won't connect to anything on the e36
                    switch.

                    That's what I followed
