Seat upolstery both for 450.00

Opinion please..I own a 1988 325is with orignal sport seats with front leg roll outs. I'm getting my two front seats repholstered for 450.00 everything but the head rests in original black leather.Incudes new foam also.. What say you?

Sounds like a good deal but what are you getting them reupholstered in?
I take it that it's the sports seats right?
Are they re-enforcing the frame for the seat and the backrest?

I'm only asking 'cause my brother charges that for 1 seat and it sounds like a very good deal if that's all included.

Does the $450 include the materials? If so, that's a screaming deal.

It was 1000 to recover sport seats w/ new foam in natur tan vinyl (including cost of materials), just to give you reference...that was OEM vinyl, not leather...

if it's quality work with good leather, that sounds like a good deal. Ask the upholsterer if he/she uses furniture grade leather though, some people will use it to lower costs but it does not have the same toughness or UV inhibitors that automotive grade leather does and will deteriorate much quicker.

Includes new supporting material> cow skin is cow skin real leather, Furniture grade in a auto shop, I will check it out, you may have a point, a different process maybe? I'm also having the head liner done for a 100.00 includes sun roof with original bought material from supplier.

450 including material? The material will cost him at least 150 to 200 bucks. I hope he has good patterns and does good work, cause thats way to too cheap.

maybe he jsut have a good set sitting around he's trying to sell you for 450. :P

I would say not original leather at that cost. My hides alone cost more than that for the 2 fronts.

Pullapart yards is your best bet. I am fortunate as I have relationships with 3-4 breaker yards that save me their foam, but I buy my cores from them.

holy cow, kevin do you provide instructions to install the skins? those examples deffinently dont look like a person new-too-interior had installed them
