Nicely done sir. Anticipating the mailman delivering my Alpina tach strip. Went with red needles since I'm going to add extra VDO gauges and wanted them to match fairly closely. Waivering on the CF though, so looking forward to the finished product.

    Wow! That looks great.

I've been wanting to do this to mine since I read the writeup over on EmoTech. This may give me some new motivation to get it done.

Nope, its not new enough for him

He asked but when I told him I wouldnt dremel polish all the soldering points, he decided to do it himself.

    Thanks Jean,

Will visually check all points. I've also been waiting to crack out this Frankenstein machine I picked up a while ago. Supposedly it will check everything on a cluster.

Hopefully I can figure it out, beats installing and testing or worst, installing driving for 50 miles and having something go out...

Next up replace Odo gear(s), check for breaks in the solder on the brake lining indicator, strengthen even if ok as its just a matter of time.

Then off to the cosmetics, Alpina strip, Brushed rings and genuine CF overlay:D

Need to get it done this week as Im out of town for the next 10 days.

    Stay tuned...

    Next up the needles...

Going for the Alpina look so using orange, not red. I did this on previous car and with the bulbs being lighting up amber it really looks awesome.
