Here are some pics of the 2-tone interior on my previous 88 325i. I later also switched to black door pulls/map pockets. The finished interior was quite a hit at the '03 NW E30 Picnic.
Yeah, it was pretty hot. I even had them stitched horizontally to look like the M3 seats. I had planned to do the rears the same way, with black on the ends and in the center section, but my poor drving skills and shitty road conditions had other plans.
I probably would have kept them, but when I parted out the car, I had to sell EVERYTHING to get as much money as I could. It's too bad, because the guy that bought them from me on ebay ended up paying just over half of what I paid to have them retrimmed. Then the frames were badly damaged during shipping because UPS are a bunch of fucking morons, and he later told me he ended up just trashing them.
That's one thing I would spend a bit on would be to have my sport seats redone if possible to that condition. If I can't find a local place that will do it cheap enough I'll just get newer seats. It's awesome, for a bone stock eta with blemishes and a few problems. It has torn up sport seats - it's one of my joys.

That retrim cost me $650. You could probably find a cheaper place, but the quality won't be as high. Those were done by a place that specializes in show hot-rod interiors, and they were GOOD.
That's awesome, but yeah. For 650 I can get something a little more race type. My dad once went down to Mexico and had a 30's Ford redone, he had to basically tell the guys what to do, but for that cheap I guess it was worth it.

Thats because it was Mexico. Go to anywhere in Central America, and everything is much, MUCH cheaper. I wish I lived in LA. I could drive to El Salvador and get a ton of stuff done to my car for hella cheap.

DRIVE to El Salvador from LA!? Have you looked at a map recently :?:
Black outers and black velour inserts. Very pimp. I had French (waffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffleswaffless btw) stiching done, a la E30 m3, but I told them to keep the stitching vertical on the backs so it would match the backseat when i re-installed it.
