ok so i'm pretty much done, minus the back of the seat cover. door panels are all black at this point(interior use to be beige, i used the duplicolor vinyl/carpet paint), i might do an insert later. exterior is Diamantschwarz.
thanks you for the comments
NeoMishMoo ahahahahha inside peanut butter, outside jelly. I dont think that will be the theme! the bolster, i will fill it with foam and recover over it.
M-technik-3 no experience, just trial and error. i have to waste a little more vinyl than i needed, but overall i think it's ok! like i said way better than the tore up old one.
Bold color, maybe with some age and oil it will fade enough where I could like it. Nice progress is this your first attempt at car seats or do you have some experience under your belt?
Are you going for inside peanut butter outside jelly?
The color is definitely unique. That is a really good picture, I like the comparison of the new seat with the old torn up drivers seat. So what are you going to do about that torn up bolster? That seat almost looks as bad as mine!
this is what i have so far, not perfect but a lot better than that tore up oem one. i need to tighten that center bottom seat more. color may not be everyone's cup of tea, but i love it!
i was going to use the original piping and find somekind of paint to match, but i realized how easy it was to make piping using the vinyl i was using for the seats. so yeah i'm doing everything sewing/piping.
