I removed my driver's seat today so I could try and repair the back panel which fell off. The previous owner painted (yes, painted) the seats and then didn't put them back together correctly. Anyway, I read in one of the writeups on this forum that it would be easier to access the screws that hold the bottom half in, if the seat is removed.
Even with the seat out, I couldn't figure out how to get the seat back to lean forward enough without taking the mechanism apart.
* Is there a way to do this easily?
So, when I went to reinstall the seat, the back-right bolt didn't want to mate with the hole in the body and in the process of mucking around with that, the front-right stud that holds the seat on broke off and fell into the body.
* What are my options for fixing this? Do I have to weld a new stud on? Is there some way I can put it back in from the bottom?
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks
