They're the right width, but they're too high in the rear. I'm going to have to make a custom rear deck for it. It's also a fold-down seat, so there are some issues there...

Do the grills on your mids fit tight or are they loose?

They just sit flat right? they don't look angled or anything in the pics.

Cool thanks for the info, they look great - I wonder if the non fold down seats would be shorter.

The two inner ones (which you'd use in an e36) aren't functional. It's a fold-down rear seat and there is a lot of bracing and whatnot in the e36 for them. I thought it'd look stupid if I cut them out.

The grilles are really tight... kind of a bitch to get in actually.

Yes, the speakers are vertical. Since I made sealed pods rather than cutting into the door and recessing the magnet in it, I would have run into problems with them hitting my legs (or the passengers') if I were to have angled them.

My grills dont fit in tight at all, they always fall off...

A friend of mine suggested something sticky inside the plastic ring, but I don't want anything dirty (he said use a thick grease :P)

wow that looks pretty, but you should try to convert the rest to black im not really felling the two-toned look.

I *might* change to all black later...I don't want to deal with the carpet though. And the tan interior matches the bronzit exterior. I'm going to shadowline the whole car when I get the eurobumpers painted body color and installed. I'm going for a black and tan on the exterior as well as the interior.

                          Yes, the amp kicks ass.

can you post a pic showing the rear seat through the back window? I'd like to see actually how far off the rear deck is. I'll look into adapting the fold down seats to actually fold down as that's one of the main features that I wish the e30 had..

Send me a PM or an email tomorrow afternoon to remind me and I'll snap one. It sits about 3-4" above the rear deck that I have in there now.

Adapting the fold-down rear seat using an e36 one would probably be pretty difficult. It'd probably be easier with an e30 one.
