    Is that an OEM part, or did some one on eBay make one out of abs plastic?

          light openings? I would think those would be frigging annoying at night, that looks just like an ashtray with the lid removed. I though the actual replacement was a rubber lined one.
          Im now E30less.

            Well, I thought the same Ryan but I was looking at my ashtray and it seems different to me... Not sure.

              I have the origional in my m3 and its not rubberlined, but its got a short"fur" lining to it. it really isnt that bright when it is in at night

                        got mine from Ebay seller arainman. He always has them. The lights do not light up that bright at night.

                          I bought mine from the dealer. Part # above is correct. Less than $20 if I remember right.

                            I just used pliers and pulled the metal cigarette parts out of my stock ashtray, and now it's the exact same thing, it just has a lid, which I would rather have anyway.
