E36 Power seats in my e30?

Hey folks, my favorite local U-Pull has a nice set of M3 power seats for a great price. Any chance I could install these functionally in my 86 e30?

If so, what all do I need to snag from the yard and what parts from an e30 do I need (assuming that e30s ever came with power seats, which I am not sure).

Thanks in advance for all of your help!

I tried that already, nothing directly answering the question.

Never heard of putting power seats in an E30 but I did have manual vadars in my E30. I'm guessing you need to get a bunch of the wiring and build your own wiring harness. Plus the power seats are alot heavier then manual ones.

^^ All true. Vaders are awesome though. I *think* I've seen power seats before using the heated seats wiring looms. I don't want to be responsible for bad info though, so keep looking.

        e36 power

I've got e46 powered sports in my car. The seats already had their own wiring harness, all I had to do was run extra wiring from the fusebox for power, and ground them out. Everything works, including the memory functions.

The seats should have thier own wiring harness, and plug. Just pull contant 12v from somewhere.

Heavy isn't too much of a concern as my e30 is my work car. I've got the wiring planned out but I still need to make some brackets. Once I get everything sorted...and more importantly safe...then I'll post up a write-up. Thanks to the previous poster for the info...it proved very helpful.
