    need help removing

I dont think this is a stock shifter, im trying to pull the knob off. and i know usually you just yank.. but this is not budging..

    closer pic

    off topic:

is that bondo looking stuff stock? normal?sure in hell doesnt look like i.. or was some work down? the random grey spots. especially rear of drivers side.

carpet is still out and i have just been cleaning. any recommendations on what to do, pull, clean, whatever before i recarpet?

after a little cleaning...(and closer pic of whatever was done)..
the car is 100% rust free which makes me wonder what the hell that crap is

definately not a stock shifter. looks like its either a welded piece or a solid shifter. might have to drop the whole shift carrier. or work around it.

drop the tranny mount and get in behind it and undo two bolts. and i believe theres one at the back of the carrier too. its a bitch so i don't envy you lol

there isn't a hidden set screw holding it on?

And the crap on the floor looks like somebody went crazy with seam sealer.
