My left half of the cluster/dash is dark.

Hah! I used to have to smack the cluster all the time to get the left side to light up. Now it lights up on it's own. I guess it fixed itself. Just do it!

I do it all the time... If it was the headlight switch itself (the dimmer being the problem), all the lights would be out.

same thing happens with my gauges. the left side is dark but for me the light kicks on after a few minutes of driving. it basically works when it wants to. but then again my speedo and odometer dont work either.

The headlight switch has a bulb that you can replace... its a teeny tiny wedge bulb thats pita to change with the assembly still mounted lol

Happens to me too, and no, it wasn't the light switch. Not to be a dick, ZM since your advice is always great and never stop giving it out, but from my experience I bought a new OEM light switch due to my passenger tail light not working and the problem still persists. So I just knock it every so often when it happens. If someone could provide an answer that'd be cool.

Haha, pulled my cluster last week to put the aluminum gauge rings on and my right side won't light up. May have to give it the 'ole knock when I hop in again :D

L i need that switch if danny didnt take it. I have the same issue and the good ole Love Tap didnt fix it.

board burnt up. thats what happend to mine, had to resolder them. just did it tuesday. my headlight switch was also bad too.
