    Rear deck removeable easily?

I'm almost done converting my cars interior to black from tan (puke)

I've replaced the front seats, floormats, doors panels, grabsa, and map pockets, back panels..

All that remains is headliner (meh.), carpet, and the rear deck (wehre the speakers mount)

Just yesterday I got some black leather seats from grant on the boards (thanks again!) and i might track down a new back deck (or maybe i'll leave it two tone)

either way, i was curious how hard it is to take out, and how you would go about such things.

      Nope.

      Tan cloth everything.

Front seats have rips and tears in them, back seat has sun damage on the tops and large tears on the bottoms.

      not fun at all. :)

I dont have my front seats in yet, right now i've got a blue seat that James Crivellone is letting me borrow. lol.

Pull the bottom of the rear seat up. It just pops out of its clippy thingies so just pull up on the front of it. Then take the back part of the back seat off. There will be a 10mm bolt at the bottom on each side of it. Undo those, then pull out and up and the back seat will come off. Then basically just pull up on the rear deck. There is a clip in the middle, and after that is popped, it just slides out. You'll have to unbolt the seatbelts at the top before you can pull the rear deck out though. Those are faily large bolts, about 16mm or 17mm IIRC.

            You have black headliner??

Also - you may want to get the carpet changed before anything else - it's alot easier to not to have to worry about ruining anything in the car if you know it'll be replaced.

I asked because you mentioned headliner in your original post:

No i don't have black headliner, i was going to do something similar to what jordan did.

My confusion came in about your comments for swapping out carpets and messing stuff up?

sorry i forgot seatbelts needed to be unbolted and the rear seat back needs to be removed. but other than that it did just pop off. (you will need to disconnect the speakers when its loose)

Ohh, well the reason I say that is because the carpet is heavy and all one big piece - so it's kind of a pain in the ass to get out. You should call Ryan over to help you, he's taken his out and knows exactly what to do.

you should be fine, I was just sayin you might wanted to be careful. It's not biggy tho. ;)
