custom speedometer with a higher top speed reading?

    That's a funny thing about my model of car. The top speed is practically considered highway crusiing speed in most places. lol

        it was more one of those...I wonder what she can do days... everyone said she would top at 130 but she kept going.... and thats the last time im ever doin that! i rather live to enjoy my car :D

            Very true.

            On my car, according to rpms and gearing, the speedo is pretty close with 205/60-15, - which are almost an inch oversized.

              And that was my question... if the speedo said i was doing 140, and 5k rpm... with 195/60/14...OE sizing... approx what was i doing?

                  speedo error increase according to many. Said factor of upto 7 mph slower at 5th and wound out. Why because in Germany according to TUV and safety regulators you are not allowed to go faster than the indicated so the put error in on purpose.

                  This is to prevent you from exceeding the posted (yes Germany has posted areas) speed limits, ask my wife how much it was for mine in a 100km stretch and I was still doing 190km.

                    hmmm oh well it is was fast enough for me.... so i can say instead of 140... about 135ish... thanks for the info fellas :P
