How to fix a slanted passenger seat?

I have an 325i without the sport seats. At first i thought it was just mine, but i walked past another e30 the other day and noticed that their passenger seat was also slanted just like mine, which brings me to believe that this could be a common problem?

So when you sit in the passenger seat, your back is some what tweeked. Does anyone know how to fix this?

I've put it in the full recline position, full forward, etc, nothing seems to straighten it out....thanks for the help!

The seatback is also held to the bottom with 2 screws, one on each side. They can come loose, and if one falls out, the seat will be slanted. check that first.

You should probably freshen up the seat shocks regardless, but it's not the cause of the slanting. Like gearheade30 said, it's most likely the screws holding the seatback to the mechanisms came loose, or the tabs on the mechanisms broke off, which is a common problem. If you're getting a twist then the left & right mechanisms could be out of sync with each other.

Taking the seat apart is very easy. PM with your email and I'll forward you a .PDF walkthrough guide
