I have a nice rear seat, with the retracting armrest that I will trade for anyone who might have a folding rear seat.

Hmmm. So is it possible to install a back seat from a "touring" into a plain old sedan?

that back wall is structural. If you wanted to build a box with some sort of hefty tubing around the perimeter of the back wall and cut it out then you'd have a big ol' passthrough. Then it's super easy to remove the seat bottom and 2 10mm bolts holding the seat in

No, but there was an option of having a "ski bag" where the center armrest would fold down and expose a hole to the trunk to slide your skis in.
